Discrete Event Simulation Modeling

Kromite uses discrete event simulation modeling to help clients decide the size of the infrastructure or resources required to perform critical tasks.  We specialize in customized simulation models for our clients that generate visualizations of the system under study. The simulation allows for what-if analyses at a cost that is orders of magnitudes less than building a simple pilot system.  We have built simulations for a number of pharmaceutical companies, and our members have also worked on simulation processes for heavy machinery factories, Army recruiting operations, and Air Force/Army combat operations.

In the healthcare industry, simulation models help with: 1) pipeline analyses that incorporate projects and resources from research to launch, and 2) impact assessment of key events such as mergers, spinoffs, and licensing. These models identify capacity constraints and over-capacity likelihood in complex operations such as R&D in the presence of uncertainty.  They also help with resource management, infrastructure what-if analyses, portfolio management, and long-term financial forecasts.
