Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is associated with chronic, progressive liver disease.  Chronic hepatitis C is a leading cause of cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A better understanding of HCV infection prevalence and its modeling can help medical communities and government agencies manage the disease burden and develop treatment strategies in light of the emergence of several potent anti-HCV therapies.

The goal of this project was to map out and forecast the size of HCV infected populations (total infected, diagnosed, eligible, treated…) and their profile (risk factors, genotype, age, gender…).  As part of this project, our team:
